Godspeed Vineyards

Godspeed Vineyards
Nestled on Mount Veeder at 1,500 feet above the Napa & Sonoma Valleys on a road less traveled lies the jewel of Godspeed Vineyards.

Owner/winemaker Larry Stricker specializes in Bordeaux-style wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Trinity, a priorietary red blend.

Larry, an accomplished architect of first-class resorts around the world explains, "when you wait until you're in your forties to plan a vineyard, you need His help and speed, hence the name Godspeed."

Godspeed Vineyards is an artisan grower winery, with almost all of the work being done by Larry Stricker and his son, David. "We not only do all the pruning, we even do most of the picking as well. We do it all," Stricker said, emphasizing that the fruit is hand selected by his family. Godspeed wines are old-world style and reflect Larry's lifetime interest in winemaking.

Grace Patriot Cabernet Sauvignon2005 Trinity
Dusty approachable tannins, blackberry, cassis, tobacco, elegant and smooth, moderately long and clean finish, hint of pepper, easy drinking, balanced and fruity.

Grace Patriot Tempranillo1999 Cabernet Sauvignon
Produced from fruit on Larry Stricker's hand-worked Mount Veeder estate vineyard 1500 feet above the Napa Valley floor.  The micro-climate here results in a much more Bordeaux like wine.

Grace Patriot Syrah2001 Chardonnay
The ideal summer Chardonnay, it tasts of lemon with hints of a little cream, light and fresh, and extremely easy on the oak.
